Hi, I’m Sonia McGowin, the artist behind Maggie & Me Studio—a colorful little world where hand-painted banners help celebrate life’s best moments.

Maggie & Me started in the quiet of my craft room, with my grey Maine Coon, Maggie, curled up in my lap. She was tiny, talkative, and always kept me company while I painted, sewed, and embroidered. She’s no longer with us, but her creative companionship lives on in the spirit of this studio.

After becoming an empty nester, I decided to turn my love of making into something more. What began as a fun little hobby quickly became a joyful way to help others celebrate birthdays, baby showers, back-to-school photos, and every moment in between.

At Maggie & Me Studio, I believe that even the small moments are worth celebrating—because we often look back and realize they were the big ones. Every banner is made to order with hand-painted details and personalized touches.
